We’re excited to announce the opening of Beanstalks Early Learning Centre in Haberfield, Sydney! We are a boutique, 21-place long daycare service, owned and operated by Jess, an early childhood teacher who is passionate about changing the childcare sector and making a difference to children’s development and the local community.
Nestled in the heart of Haberfield, we provide a nurturing, home-like environment where children learn through play, connecting with our local community and our project-based curriculum tailored to each child’s unique needs, fostering independence, confidence, and a lifelong love for learning. We have a passionate team of educators who love what they do and care about providing the best care and education to every child that walks through our doors.
Changing the meaning of Early Childhood Education
Jess started Beanstalks ELC after working in childcare centres across Sydney and realising that children and their play are no longer prioritised. In order to make a difference to children’s early childhood education, she went on the journey of opening up her own childcare centre to be the change.
At Beanstalks we focus on the foundational skills that children need no matter where life takes them: perseverance, problem solving, emotional regulation, having a strong sense of identity, and social skills. These underpin everything a child does: from writing their name, to making new friends at school, to knowing what an unsafe behaviour is and being able to talk to someone about it.
